Good Afternoon Everyone.
Please bear with me as i am completly new to all of this.
I have been given by my girlfriend a PSP with Firware version 1.5. With a Load of DVD's full of games which are zipped as .ISO file extension and a 1GB memory stick.
After digging around on the internet, i believe i need a UMD Emulator or DEVHOOK to run these games. There seems to be so many different types and didnt want to break my PSP by putting the wrong one onto my system.
So my questions to you wizards out there,
Could you please tell me of good software(s) to run my DVD games?
Where do i get the software from?
How do i put the software on?
Does anyone have any useful tips and tricks for that will benefit me?
Thank you for your time, apologises if this is painful to you experts, but i am greatful for your input.
So would i be right in thinking it kind of basically 'tricks' the psp into thinking its a 2.71 without updating the firmware and still leaves me with a 1.5?
Afternoon again all,
Ive just this minute had ago at installing the devhook. followed those instructions on the link above perfectly. Little problem i stumble across is when i press o to 'start' the iso, i am displayed the message "this disc cannot be started" "The region code is not correct" in the PSP interface (and not in the devhook interface).
The UMD i am using is a Video UMD. Does it need to be a Games UMD??
Or have i done something else?
Hope that makes sense to you whizz kids.
Please let me know guys, thanks for your help
