well when you emulate your fw to play the game it has to be the same fw as the game or higher. So it is impossible to update. Like i had the game spectral souls which required 2.71 and i emulated it with 2.71. When i clicked on 2.71 update it said i did not need to update!
Don't worry about accidentally updating. And as for memory, i believe that update (or firmware dumps) areabout 15-20 mb? im not sure but i have a 2 gb stick so that doesnt bother me

Thanks to DvDBack23 for my sig!

like alan said updates arent very large but u can use any iso program and delete the update folder out of it. have u tried compressing iso's to save space. and if u want to avoid accidental updates u can change ur fimrware version to somethin like 13.37 and disable the network update icon. exactly what i did to avoid having it updated.

to delete the update, open the ISO in UMDGen 3.50 and find the folder called update. Just delete it and thats it.

whats the 13.37 fw you're talking about, never heard of it before.
Guess we should all take precautions of accidental updates. I wouldn't mind checking into this.

it's just using WAB version changer or something similar, to change it to read 13.37 (same as 'elite' or 'leet') then when u try to run an upgrade it says your version is higher then update, you don't need to update
