when i am converting my dvd to vcd i use the following:

smartripper
dvdavi
vfapi plugin
toolame
virtual dub
tmpmge
and finally nero

when i am multiplexing i end up with major buffer under run and then everthing is out of sync. i never had these problems before, recently i had to reinstall windows 98 and all of the encoding files. what am i doing wrong here, and how can i fix the problem.
