hi i have downloaded a couple of cso files from a site and recieving an error message on my psp saying i need a different firmware to run it

i am running devhook with my 2.71 psp any ideas would be appreciated

sounds like ur emulating 1.5 on your 2.71. use the devhook port to emulate 2.71.

so i run henc program then run devhook for 2.71 then choose the 2.71 firware from that menu

yeah and then there should be menu item named UMD select. thats where u select the iso/cso u wanna play.

thanks a lot another question is i downloaded a game iso and it came in two parts one folder saying psp game and a bin file any idea what to do with those cause they wont boot from the iso folder

Sounds like you have decompressed the ISO file. Thats the component parts of any ISO.

If you downloaded it like that you could try rebuilding with UMDGen but that rarely works. Probably better off downloading another.

thanks for the replies
tried it with another game wwe smackdown cso
when i run the devhook launcher in 2.71 and select smackdown the psp wont show the umd icon to start the game if i try to load it in 1.5 it says about the system software needs updating any ideas
