PS2 network connection aborted (428) message

i live in college dorms so i get free high speed internet. there are some guy here that have hooked up their ps2's to the internet and play online. i resecently got a ps2 with MSG3 subsistence but i am having trouble getting connected online. i can create a network configuration and then i test the connectivity and it checks out ok. so i quit the network config process and go to the main menu in the 2nd disc of MSG3 subsictence. it asks if it is my first time i click yes then on the next scree i choose connect to network then the EULA i agree to it. then i try to connect to the network setting that i have created but it times out and gives me network connection aborted (428) this thing happens on all oof my other online games. what can i do?

i would finish to network setup completely and donnot quit, but if you know those people i would ask them as they are connected already, chances are you are on a LAN they might be using that option on the game insted

most if not all colleges have their connections firewalled and this could be causing the problem you're having because ports that the game wants to use may be closed.
