how do u flash a bad gameboot or background or font to ur psp and have it bricked?

what do you mean how do you flash it if theat particular thing uses flash to install or mod the psp then there is a chance of a brick

It writes it to the 32mb main memory,if the firmware messes up and bricks the psp the only way to fix it is by installing the undiluted platinum modchip I think not sure if there is a hack around it.If you flash anything electrical wrong it will screw it up,unless you can actually gain access to the internal memory of the unit(it can only be accessed again through a modchip or a programmer).

Yes replacing the motherboard will fix the PSP,as you are replacing the internal memory.I'm not sure how much it would cost,but if it is over $100 dollars I would recommend you get the modchip.

you can use the recovery menu on a custom firmware to connect to the usb and put a update file on the memory stick and select to run the update from the recovery menu so you just upgrade the downgrade back to 1.50 and it can only unbrick certan things eg if you have installed a bad gameboot or sound i have used it when i put a bad gameboot on and it saved my as*

guano lives by Dark alex's P.O.C. custom firmware. There's harley g's custom firmware. and theres dark alexs new 2.71 custom firmware. all can be found at psp-hacks.com

anytime u mess with flash it runs the possibility of a brick. messing up the gameboot doesnt always necessarily brick ur psp. most of the time u cant boot homebrew/games but u can still watch movies and play mp3's.
