Why Does My Nero only burn 8x on my Samsung DVD?

Anyone have any ideas why on Nero 7, I can only burn at 8x on my Samsung DVD Writer which should write at 18x? I'm using GQ brand 16x DVD -r blank dvds.

It lets my NEC 3550A burn at 16x. Whats the deal with Nero?

You should be able to set the speed.
Go into toolkit and you should find
the settings.
