hey evryone!
i just got my PSP yesterday, i hav been lookin at pss sites and i came across Devhook and Eloader.. wht r they?? i knw wht homebrew games r.. but whts the difference between the two and which one is better?

what motherboard do you have?
if ur not sure, look behind the UMD door, if there's a number IC1003 stamped on the green mobo in the right corner, u can't downgrade, so you'd need to use an eloader, or upgrade to 2.71 and use Hen C.

1 more thing: after i download any software or application for my PSP, which folder (in the PSP) do i put it in?? wht is the overall procedure for it??

depends what it is. if u get something like Folder1 and Folder1% those go in the GAME folder (I:\PSP\GAME)

and if i want to use it for my PSP ( 2.6 ) i will hav to degrade it, isnt it? but i will lose options of web browser and such! and i dont want tht! is there a way to keep my firmware 2.60 and still hav Devhook??

the URL u gave me, dosent say (how) to check, wht motherboard it is.. just has instructions to check for compatibilty... anyway.. i hav no text on the back of my UMD and my firmware is 2.60..

so then if u wanna b fw 1.5 and emulate 2.71 u have to upgrade to 2.71 reformat youer memory stick and downgrade
R we allowed to post links to downgraders ??

oki doki then heres ur link to the downgrader http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/755 and just reformat ur memory stick KEEP THE CHARGER IN AT ALL TIMES and connect to your pc and start up the program u just downloaded and bam U R 1.50

Well theres a couple ways to do this. Do you have a copy of gta lcs? Because that is the safeist and most easy way. Also if you go gunits way make sure you upgrade to 2.71 first.
