Copy each disc to a different folder: Folder 1:

VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB

Folder 2:

VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB Rename folder 2 to

VTS_01_5.VOB
VTS_01_6.VOB
VTS_01_7.VOB
VTS_01_8.VOB

and select them in order in TMPGEnc DVS Author, then do Begin Output. You will have your DVD comliant files ready to burn.

Chris,

I have DVDShrink, DVDDecryter, and DVD2One. Can I use any of these software or I must use TMPGEnc? Do I also have to worry about the VIDEO_TS.* files that I copied in the folder2 ? Thanks

hi

you may need to run trough dvd2one to compress all those files!

TMPGEnc DVD Author needs to makes all the other files to suit your vobs for DVD burning to nero!

ifoedit can do it to! but a bit buggy the proggy!

THxxx

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

As Rotary says, you do have to use TMPGEnc DVD author first. I would use it, get the dvdcompliant files, then compress with DVD2One or DVD Shrink. And yes, you will have to use DVD Decrypter to get the files onto your hard disc first.

I have downloaded the TMPGEnc software and tried to open the files, but the program won't take these files extension.
Any other suggestion or steps by steps instruction would be appriciated.

On the first folder which I have renamed and merged all the files over.
VIDEO_TS
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VTS_01_0
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_1
VTS_02_0
VTS_02_0.BUP
VTS_02_0.IFO
VTS_02_1
and so on with VTS_03_*** through VTS_12_***
The VTS_06_*** has been renamed from the second folder.

The second folder also has the files that I left behind.
VIDEO_TS
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
What should I do with these files?

hi

i am not great at present but i too am learning!

but just do this !!!!

put all vobs in order!

VTS_01_0.vob \
VTS_01_1.vob |<----FIRST FILM !
VTS_01_2.vob /
-------
VTS_01_3.vob \
VTS_01_4.vob |<----SECOND FILM !
VTS_01_5.vob /
-------
VTS_01_6.vob \
VTS_01_7.vob |<----THIRD FILM !
VTS_01_8.vob /
-------

in 1 folder only no other files as these will be made for the vobs in the next part!

Then load them in TMPGEnc DVD Author and either use menus or not to run through!

this will make all files to put in a VIDEO_TS folder to burn with nero!

OH! forgot you will need to compress if bigger than 4.36 gig with dvd2one? first before you burn to dvdr

thx..
