I have 2.60 on my PSP
I want to downgrade to 1.50
Is it safer to downgrade directly from 2.60
or go to 2.71 then use Dark_alex 's downgrader to downgrade ??

I really need to know

first off u need to figure out if u have a ta-082 motherboard, check this link to identify your motherboard.

Now do i upgrade to 2.71 the downgrade ?

you have to have an unpatched version of gta lcs to downgrade from 2.6.

both methods run the same risk.you can either downgrade from 2.6 which requires the GTA:LCS unpatched version. or u can use the 2.71 version which doesnt require it. both methods run the same risk.

I successfully did it
and now i got a new psp 1.5
I downgraded directly from 2.6 with my unpatched GTA LCS

whew who another 1.50er. Congrats! First PSP I bricked cos it was TA-082, luckily the guy at EB didnt check, I just played stupid. 2nd one downgraded perfectly but I used the upgrade to 2.71 method.

Im getting a single little tiny HUGE problem

I ve got 3 PSP games :
Need For Speed Most Wanted 5-1-0
FiFa 2006
GTA LCS

But all dont work in 1.50 !
do i upgrade or is there a way to make them work ?

ytou need devhook. get it from www.psp-hacks.com and also since you downgraded from 2.6 you need to get your self clean firmware becuase the 2.5 2.6 and 2.71 only uses the 1.5 dump so upgrade to 2.0 and then downgrade so you get clean firmware! iu think this is also neccssary if you want to get cstom they recommend doing this!

you use dumps when you downgrade from 2.5+ but from 2.0 you use the 1.5 update which gives the cleanest 1.5! it is recommended when you get custom firmware to first get clean firmware for the best chances of evrything going smooth although if you wish to keeo your 1.5 how it is by all means keep it! i had my 1.5 for few months then decided to get custom so i upgraded then downgraded!

and also i also use the usb edition i dont have a big enough memory card lol

aight the 2.0 downgrader is the safest downgrader you can get so its only a slight chance of brick and thats only if you take out the AC adapter when your upgrading (same as when you upgrade to any firmware using the sony upgrades) you cen get the downgrader from here http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/3

I dont see any difference to when i directly downgraded from 2.6
was the firmware 1.50 from 2.60 downgrade dump ???
And What does dump mean ??

yeah it was a dump so the files were not all fresh but now you have 1.5 frsh files! and now you can get custom firmware without any problem!
