I often use multi-session recordings to back up various files over time to my CDs and DVDs (as a rule I use CD-RWs or DVD+RWs) to do incremental backups - and normally this works pretty good however after several sessions some of my (older) PCs can't always read the multi-sessions.

- So my question is; after I fill up a DVD or CD using multi-session recordings can I burn a 'copy' of the media (I'm sure I can) and will, in fact, that copy come out as a "single" session (and therefore be reliably read by all my PCs)...?

In other words if, for example, a DVD+RW is recorded with multi-sessions will do a (final) copy produce a single session?

don't forget to finalize your disk then burn a new copy on a DVD5 or DVD9! It should work just fine. good luck.

I also create incremental backups of my data in multissesion CDs using Nero (I use CD-R and DVD+R). If you do incremental backups, you only need to read the last session to have access to the last version of your files. If you need to read the other sessions and extract some files, you can use ISOBuster (freeware). Since ISOBuster does not use Windows to access the discs, it should work in older computers. And it seems to me that if you copy a multisession CD, you should get another multisession disc. Otherwise the copy is not really a copy of the original.
