I installed my PSP with DevHook .46 using Ultimate Installer v1.1.1. The PSP I had already was a FW 2.71 I installed DevHook 0.46 with 2.71 Firmware.

I have both an iso and cso in the ISO folder...

Here is the problem:
I have 2 selectable options
1.) "Return to 1.50 from FW2.xx" and
2.) "DeviceHook 0.46 ISO and Firmware Emulator"

When I select 1, the PSP screen appears, the screen goes blank, and then "The game could not be started. (80020148)"

When I select 2, the following appears, "This game cannot be started. The data is corrupted."

So obviously I am having trouble. It could be an easy fix??? I have attempted this with both a UMD in the psp and when there is not a UMD in. The 80020148 has something to do with a PRX file?

Yes, mine is currently a 2.71

I thought I could boot another FW off of the flash of the memory stick? Is this not possible?

If not, what downgrader (where find) do you recommend?

Also, what is henc?

Thanks

Is there any fear that I have done something already to the PSP? I dont believe the installer writes to the PSP but could you confirm this?

So I will double check when I get home that I dont have a TA-082 motherboard but looking before I did not see any writing nor could I find a PCB anywhere by just looking inside the UMD drive? I am not stupid but there did not appear to be a PCB visible to me without taking the device apart?

Then I will perform the downgrader... however, this will make my PSP a FW 1.5 correct?

Is there not a way to keep 2.71 on the PSP and run 1.5 from a memory stick?

devhook doesnt write to the flash unless you choose it to which you cant as it didnt start

you dont need to take it apart its pretty visable,so if you cant see anything you should be fine and you will have a 1.5

yes you can emulate 1.5 on a 2.71 using henc the last link i gave you explains it
