See i think wii might be a good cosole to buy because of the controler idea but the tech specs are nothing compared to the xbox 360 and the ps3 and most of the games dont look good-too much mario and baby games so far (i'm only liking call of duty 3 and red steel so far) and whats the whole idea of zelda- what the h*** is that all about (never played any zelda game before sry guys). What i'm trying to ask is if i should buy wii. Give me reasons for or against. Thanks
PSP IS BETTER THAN THE DS
PSP £180
GTA:LCS £35
UMD movie £15
MEMORY STICK £70
There are some things the DS can't do for everything else there is a PSP.

well i plan to get the wii beause u can download every sega and nintendo game ever made. also there is HUGE and i do mean HUGE support in japan which will probably mean more 3rd party games. also i am sure games are going to be cheap

i in all honesty would pick a wii over any other consoulefor the fact that it is cheap and it is nintendo i think nintendo is the only gaming company that cares about the customer (in my opinion)

i would go for wii cuz of the cheaper price and the old school games with the new school touch, yea i still like mario and shit like that ( im 22 yrs old by the way) nuthin wrong with liking the so called "kiddie games"

i wonder what clans are gonna be like? i mean the leader of rtk was in the mlg! and my friend shinde0n z is sponcered. and i myself pay to get into tournaments for cod2 and halo 2. and that is the fun of online game play to me is am i gonna make the big bux today? i mean with the wii it seems that competition would be better now having the physical aspect of holding the wiimote like a gun. but i need to see major online competition. i dont wanna beat up on casual gamers who want the cheap system

WEll, I for one am getting the nintendo wii, i am a big nintendo fan though i think if nintendo can get some really good rpg's ,this system could really be something special! I remember the old days when nintendo and square were on good terms with those old final fantasy games! :)if nintendo gets some good developers on thier side they can do wonders with this new system. just my two cents/Unjust

You're absolutely right: The wii controller is awesome, but the graphics are lacking. I'd suggest waiting until kiosks are set up and or when one of your friends gets a Wii or PS3/360, and then deciding which system you'd want to have.
As for the fps department, I can't say if Red Steel is going to be a good game or not, but it is definately going to sell a lot of copies. I think that after other publishers see how Red Steel and company fared, then they will more aggressively persue the fps dept. So I'd say try out red steel and COD3, and if it's not your cup of tea, then make your short term decision and come back to the Wii in a year or so.

I've never played Zelda long enough to decide if I like it or not either. Then again, everyone I know who has put time into the franchise absolutely loves it. If it really is that good, than I have to say I'll be tempted to rent Zelda: TP to figure out what all the noise is about.

Well it's apparent you havn't made any preorders yet, so I'd say you should just wait until you've played all systems or at least tested them out. Honestly, I don't think you'd be dissappointed no matter what system you pick up.

i really dont think the wii is lacking that much in the graphix department i mean it is not as good as 360 and ps3 but this also means everything will be cheaper games will still be GREAT!

If i get my hands on a ps3 , im gonna sell it on e-bay! Then i will pick it up next year or when there is a price drop. Also if you don't have an HD T.V you are not getting the full benefits right now, on the other hand the wii is a lot cheaper and you don't need an hdmi(High-Definition Multimedia Interface) connection HDTV right now to take advantage of the console. I have an HDTV but its not top notch and does not have an hdmi connection for it. So if you think about it and want a ps3 and have to buy a HDTV to get the full graphic benefits, you could spend as much as $2500.00 plus easily.That is the reason i'm waiting on the ps3 because when i bring it home there is no way its gonna look as good as it does on display in a store. just my thoughts on the subject. /unjust

I've got a 360, and a great dual core pc; so I'm covered in the graphics department. But honestly, my DS has been seeing so much more use. After all these years, amazing graphics just aren't amazing to me. I've been enjoying the fun, and personal-feeling gameplay on my ds much more.
Don't get me wrong, I love Dead Rising, and XBox Live's arcade, etc. But the cutting edge companies just aren't offering the same kind of fun. M$ and it's third party developers haven't caught my interest; and nothing on $ony's new console is remotely interesting to me. I've seen cutting edge graphics, and they're nice; but ultimately, when I'm bored, I need something fun and immersive; not something pretty.
Maybe the big two will release some more 'fun' titles; but as of yet, I'm still waiting. On the brighter side of things, I am looking forward to the Live Arcade release of Alien Hominid and another title from the same company. Those will be fun.

1.the price

4.DBZ Tenkiachi 2
5.my nephews when I wont them to stay of my ps3 lmfao
6.Beer and Wiid since im an adult
7.more wiimotes for Wii sports after number 6
8.how goofy me and my cousins will look swingin those thangs
9.its cute lol
10.its a brand new console so I get to open one all over again

i am a video game collector i have 36 systems and counting
and here is why i want a wii
1.being able to play all of my current gamecube titles on the wii saving me money of having to purchase a 60.00 wii game right away
2.being able to play nes snes n64 sg and turbografx games is going to rock
3.the nintendo wi fi connection and standard wifi is built into the console and they don't charge you extra for it like sony does
4.great controller i got a chance to play a nintendo wii and i love it 100%
5.cheaper then the ps3 sony needs to learn that rich little brats will ask mommy and daddy to purchase a ps3 while real gamers that live in the real world who cannot afford 600 for a console will not purchase one ever leaving half of the market open for the nintendo wii
6.online cant wait to surf the internet without restrictions sonys own web browser will not do flash and will not run video unless you pay for the plugins where nintendos console does it right out of the box and all you have to do is purchase the web browser

i think the first post said that the graphics are bad. Well we have an idiot here because they dumb down the graphics so that when you buy the game and put it in yuo are amazed. What is the sense of having full graphics and knowing what the game is going to look like completely. I would rather be suprised and be Holy **** look at those graphics

2. Double Dragon 2
3. Metroid
4. xexyz
5. Life force and Gradius
6. Bad dudes

desmet's post seems very confused... And now I'm confused. The graphics are what they are. They've been shown, they're not bad, but you're not going to suddenly be surprised with superb, cutting edge graphics after you buy it. That wouldn't make one BIT of advertising sense. No company is going to say "Hey, let's make great graphics, but not let anyone know until AFTER they buy it." Why? Because they would lose money on people who were looking for the graphics.
I'd like to see some of the old square RPGs from the SNES, and then some of the shooters from the N64, as they could be fun, with a slightly better controller.

NINTENDO IS THE ONLY GAMING COMPANY THAT IS STILL STANDING AGAINST THE MONOPOLIES OF MICROSOFT'S XBOX & SONY'S PLAYSTATION SERIES.....THEY ARE THE ONLY COMPANY OF THESE THREE TO BE THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX ( AND BY THAT I MEAN...NOT JUST CAKING ON BIGGER AND BETTER GRAPHICS; THOUGH THAT IS NOT BAD, IT SHOULD NOT BE THE ONLY ROUTE IN THE VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY FOR THE FUTURE.)
