I have Dirty Work and Liar Liar, both compressed and decrypted to fit on one dvd+r. I have tried making 2 different VIDEO_TS folders, one for each movie. When I burn the disc I get part of one movie, then part of the other, then more of the 1st movie, but neither movie is all there.

I also tried making 2 seperate VIDEO_TS folders and renamed the VTS files in the second to continue numerically from the 1st....renamed VTS_01_1 to VTS_01_4, since the 1st movie had 3 of these files. When I burned this, the whole second movie doesn't show up at all on the disc. What do I need to do to get this right? Surely somebody has done this type of thing before.

hi

i am not great at present but i too am learning!

put all vobs in order!

VTS_01_0\
VTS_01_1 |<----FIRST FILM !
VTS_01_2/
-------
VTS_01_3\
VTS_01_4 |<----SECOND FILM !
VTS_01_5/
-------
VTS_01_6\
VTS_01_7 |<----THIRD FILM !
VTS_01_8/
-------

Then load them in TMPGEnc DVD Author and either use menus or not to run through!

this will make all files to put in a VIDEO_TS folder to burn with nero!

OH! forgot you will need to compress if bigger than 4.36 gig with dvd2one? first before you burn to dvdr

thx..

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

Its very simple. Im creating a user guide on it. Have you made sure you have the correct TMPGEnc DVD Author (not TMPGEnc) downloaded? These are different programs.

I got the dvd author program, but every time I try to put in one of my VOB files it says it is an illegal video file. WHat's up with that?

- Run DVD Author
- Select Create New project from Project Menu
- Select Add DVD Video
- Choose your VOB file, click OK
- Click OK to go through menu process
- Click on Output at top of the page
- Select Destination Folder
- Click on Begin Output

Oriphus, once I get to choose your VOB file, none of them even show up. The movies I am tryin gto use have already been run through DVD Shrink. Is that the problem? When I select add DVD video none of the folders I have the movie files in show anything.

I'm totally lost. I still don't understand why I am getting an illegal error. Can somebody guide me from the beginning of this process? Do I use an already decrypted/shrunk file? Or do I use the dvd movie itself?

Thi sdoes a similar thing with different movies. I tried Big Daddy and got the same error. When I picked the first VTS file (VTS_01_1), everything worked fine and the file was in place. When I then went to make a second file/track (VTS_01_2, I get the illegal video file error. It says it must be MPEG 1or2. Why does the first VTS file work, but not the others? I'm getting this with all the movies I have run through DVD Shrink.

Doesn't IFO edit do the same thing as DVD Shrink? I've heard IFO edit doesn't work well with windows XP, which I am using.

I'm not going to further confuse myself by tryin gto use IFO edit....I shouldn't have to use it. My files are already run through DVD Shrink and ready to go. What I need to kno wis why I am getting this illegal error on every movie I try.

I guess I'm just screwed up somewhere along the way. I tried using the files after they were run through IFO edit on Nero, but I got the entire 1st movie, but only half of the second. I just wish somebody would explain this for me from the beginning of the entire process to the end.
