I am having problems with Nero 7.5.7.0 with Multisession-CD's: when I start a new Multisession-CD, the next time I want to add data on it, Nero says "Disc write-protected"! This happens everytime now, and I have checked "Start Multisession" first and "Continue Multisession" afterwards. All discs are immediatley finalized. What's that?
Here ist the log:

I checked multisession (with Nero Lite 7.5.7.0) and found no problem. Maybe you are trying to add a session to a disc already finalized. Check that the option "Finalize disc" at the Burn tab is not selected before burning any session after the first.

Yes, I checked the option "Allow adding Files for Creating Multisession Disc" always, but anyway, the Disc gets finalized after the firs time 1 burn it!
I never had this problem before!

" UnLockMCN - completed sucessfully for IOCTL_STORAGE_MCN_CONTROL"
I'm not sure what this is, but you might know.
Also you might do a Google for CDRALW2K.SYS. Maybe it is messing you up. Did you install some Roxio software? There is a utility to remove it if you decide to do that, but I don't know what it is.

The option "Allow files to be added later (multissesion disc)" appears in the Nero Express interface. Obviously is the same option called "Finalize disc" (or not, if it is not checked) in the Burn tab in NBR.
I cannot replicate your problem. I burned a disc from NeroExpress with the option checked and then added a second session without any problem.
After burning any session, you can check is the disc is open or finalized using the Nero InfoTool (tab Disc).

I found this file CDRALW2K.SYS and deleted it, made a reboot, but still the same: After first burning, the disc is finalized!
I didn't have ROXIO installed on my machine ever before.
I FOUND THE SOLUTION! It was the latest version of Alcohol 120%, which caused the trouble! The discs are NOT finalized, but whit Alcohol installed it always tells me they are. After uninstalling Alcohol, all discs were ready for adding files for Multisession!

You are right - that's it! I tried it out and both Alcohol and Nero work together! Thanks.

This is Roxio, it clashes with Nero, to remove, run this zapper http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml

You have a lot of memory in use DONT multitask while burning.
