This is what Wal-Mart says about this. Does anyone have any feedback? I'm thinking about buying one. "Finally, DVD recording made fast and simple! The Philips DVDR3390 DVD Player/Recorder supports dual media recording --the ability to create recordings on + and - discs (DVD+R/+RW/-R/-RW). Now you can buy any disc and the Philips recorder will always create compatible recordings which can be played by any DVD player. Special SmartAlgo feature ensures quality recordings, regardless of disc format or quality; DivX technology allows long video segments to be compressed while still retaining high visual quality."

I'm thinking about buying one also, but I recently read some where that people coundn't make copies of things that were burned in it. Which would suck big time but I might just buy one and see if I could make copies of the disc I make in it, and if not just take it back.

I just bought it. My ILO piece of S**T is done. I have a special ritual of destruction saved for it.

So far, I am really liking the Philips. The only thing I am not thrilled about is that it does not seem to have a memory feature. I stopped watching a dvd, but, left it in the tray. I later turned it on and it went back to the main menu. Not a huge issue.

I am using DVD+R disks from Verbatim but am almost out. Those were the only ones I could get to work in the ILO. I have some Memorex DVD-R that I had bought by mistake that I am going to try next.

I'll keep the thread updated.

I was also looking at that model but I have seen some remarks about not being able to make copies of what was recorded. I am still looking for a good recorder.
