x-flash is one the better ones to use. and no matter what app u use you have to flash the actual psp. so u might as well go with x-flash. if u decide to disable ur network icon make sure to change the version number to something real high so updates cant be ran from memstick/umd.

whats and example of a version real high, and would x-flash work with SE-B' Is it really nessisary to dissable the network update?

there is only two flash programs out for 2.71 SE-B and im pretty sure either of them wont disable network update icon or change the version of the psp. therye both listed at pspupdates.com

no u have to use the recovery option to go back to 1.5. download the se-b full installer and have it install the recovery files. after its done restart your psp. as soon as u turn it back on press R. a blue menu will show and u will see the recovery option.
