Hello all, does anyone know of a good program for ripping audio from a dvd into mp3 format? Example: have a concert DVD and would love to put the audio on my iPod. NOT looking for a way to put it on a video iPod, just standard old mp3. Thanks.

do you a sound recorder program on your computer? Eg. Creative Soundblaster has one called Creative recorder. It lets you select the quality and which file type you wish to save it as then you can record whatever you want to play on your PC.

yes Soundblaster has a recorder that will record WHAT YOU HEAR (what's playing on your computer). but you can rip to MP3 using A1 DVD Audio Ripper:

which can convert dvd to wmv,mp3 and wmv

So whats wrong with recording "WHAT YOU HEAR" on your computer? Play the dvd, record as MP3, split the tracks if you want and you are done. Been done many times, easy and very good quality.

there's absolutely nothing wrong..... I do that myself..... but if others don't have Soundblaster then they can use A1 DVD Audio Ripper. That's all!

As I know, DVD Audio Ripper can rip DVD to MP3 audio. Any freeware can do this?
