Ok, I wake up today and all of the sudden I have no disk drives(external dvd and my internal cd rom drives). WTF is going on? I tried the uninstall and re install suggested my microsofe help and didnt work. Any answers?

Anyone out there can help? Ive got no disk drives, so i cant try and re-install anything! They are listed in the device manager but the comp isnt recognizing them.

Are you saying that it is telling you a program is using your CD or DVD burner? If so, disable any packet writing that you have running, either in the Taskbar or via msconfig.

Whenever I try to run regedt32.exe, a window pops up saying its already in use or something like that. I appreciate all the help, maybe i need to bring it in somewhere. Any suggestions, like best buy or circuit city or a local comp. company?
