I cant believe no one has answered or asked this, will GTA VCS work FROM THE UMD running devhook. Or will it only work ripped?

Guess that shows what version of VCS everone is using.

i hear the euro umd will work w/ devhook but not the usa one.

Just bought my copy Firmware 2.81! I have Ripped it and its playable using DEVHOOK Launcher mod 1.35. Original ISO is about 1.6 GB. Removed update using UMD 3.02 is about 1.17 GB, now I used ISO compressor and its 872 MB. Not BAD. Enjoy

Well I went and picked up GTA:VCS today, brought it home, popped it in, AND WHAT DO YA KNOW... It didnt work...

Ripped it to MS
Ripped it apart (padding, boot.bin, Update, and all radio stations but VCFL, VROCK and VCPR[only ones I listen to anyway])
Put the UMD on my dvd rack along with the rest

I didnt have to take out cutscenes, dialog, sfx or anything

The file went from

Direct from GTA:VCS UMD: 1.57gb
Final Version : 822mb
Once I get sick of the 3 remaining stations : about 708mb

Does anyone know what the phil collins file is? thats another like 5 mb

also DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT COMPRESS TO CSO!!!! KEEP IN ISO FORM!!!

I went from level 1 through 9, with all of them there is BAD LAG, everytime it draws something in the distance it chugs. With ripping out stations and whatever else I ripped, the file becomes very managable in size(especially for us with 2 and 4gb sticks)

80 bucks for a 2gb and make it a 4gb for 40 bucks more (fry's if anyones interested)
