Hey guys,
not trying to sound like an annoying dick, but is there any way yet to run vice city stories? just got the game today and im not finding any methods just yet. Also i hear that 2.8 thing was decripted? is that right? are we possibly gonna see something soon? if there is any way to run vice city stories, i would gladly appreciate your help! i would hate to see my 1.5 upgraded to 2.81.

seriously? does no one read through at least the first page of the forums? VCS works fine using devhook, on a stick, or through usb. You can convert it to a CSO level 8-9 compression if you just got a gig.. IT works but theres occational but livable lag, mainly when your in a vehicle cos youre going really fast or changing direction.. Can we seriously put GTA:VCS threads to rest? It WORKS thats all that needs to be said. If you cant get it to work than I guess too bad.. buy it and upgrade to 2.8x

i did buy it dumbass. im trying to launch it using the swap trick. yes i do have Dark_Alex's 2.71 SE-B custom firmware and yes i tried the swap thing like a million times, yet it still doesnt work.

please just clearly tell me (without sounding like a whiny idiot) how to run the vcs UMD disk on a 1.5 psp. i only have a 256mb mem stick.

Ahh I see I thought it was supposed to work on 2.71 SE-B without any sort of "trickery". Have you thought of running it as an ISO?

Ill tell you everything i did.
-Yesterday i went and bought the UMD.
-Came home and downloaded 271_SE-B2-FULL.exe
-Installed 2.71 SE-B with devhook (2.71) and updated to se-b2.
-Tried to launch the game and failed
-Tried the swap thing and failed
-Went back to v1.5 and formated mem stick
-Desperately came here for help

ok if you're on 1.5 then download and install devhook. create an iso of it and u can play it.

well there is ways to fit on a gig stick without ripping anything. but keep trying the swap method maybe it will eventually work for ya.

I got it to run! Thanks for believeing me hexitnow! Ends up i was using 2.71 se-b2 version 2. i needed version 1. i did the swap thing and TADA!

Yeah im running from UMD. Bought it at target yesterday. I realized i was using 2.71SE-B' (which is version 2). You acctualy need version 1. I followed the directions at http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-firmware-disc...-wip-75744.html and got 2.71 se-b runing and now all i have to do is a quick swap.

ok i got the iso to load up, using devhook.46 it goes as far as showing the intro up untill the point of vic hopping off of the truck then it comes up with "Error reading the grand theft auto UMD"
says its loading but the memory stick light doesnt flash...
anyone else experienced this or have a fix for this prob??

Do you have a full version (1.6bg) or a rip ? Also is it an ISO or a CSO ?
It could just be the copy you have.....

its a 1.2 gig iso, so i suppose it is a ripped version
well then i guess im off to find another version then xD
