I recently had one cartridge the printer wouldn't recognize. I returned it and they sent me another. It was RiDisc ink from Meritline.com (I think). I've been using generic ink for a year and a half, or more, and this was my first problem. I also use the R200.
Good luck!

Are you sure you installed the cartridge correctly? I have the R320 and have been using Meritline.com and Supermediastore.com generic ink since my first time I had to buy new ink cartridges! Never had a problem. the generic inks I have been getting from the online stores are G&G and the quality of those inks are great! they are cheaper and does a great job! I hope this is not a trend as I would be pissed off buying online and having the cartridge not recognized by the printer! that's aggravating!

I just bought a 7 pack from Meritline and they gave me some cleaner with the cartridges! I thought it funny that they do that ...... it was to clean the cartridges and the printer heads of the printer! Now I hope that this was not an attempt to get rid of old print cartridges that don't work!!!! I have about 1/4 left in most of my inks and will be replacing soon.

I've bought generic inks for my 740 from various sources and it's usually the same brand, G&G.

Mine settings are custom, but it should be good with others (most of the Epson R Series) as well. Either 22 inner and 119 outer, or 23 inner and 118 outer should be good with all "hub printable media".
