Cant play ad-hoc mode with gta lc

Me and my brother were trying to play Gta liberty city stories in
ad-hoc mode. I were playing with the real umd disc but my brother played with an iso file of the game. When he gets into my game it says the psp lost connection with the server or something whats wrong? I ripped the iso file but i only removed the update folder nothing else, and both the umd disc and the iso game is EU versions.

it may be because its a iso are both of you on the same channel
