I apologize this is in the completely wrong forum. I need help with DVD-R converted to DVD+R. I did check the appropriate forums on afterdawn but the info seemed out of date and too general. Is there a way to convert? Its a DVD-R of my grandmothers memorial service and all I have are DVD+R discs and they need me to make copies for the rest of the family. Can anyone help me? Ive already tryied to google it but not knowing much about DVD formats I dunno what to search for. Im hoping and I guess assuming someone on this forum might know. I was scared to ask this in the appropriate forum as no one would recognize me, first post that kinda thing but some of you may know me, even if you dont really like me, you all seemed helpful in the past.
I was thinking of something easier. I can rip it as a DVD to DivX and than make it into a DVD but Like I said I dont know shi about DVD and I want to make an exact copy... its family and not immediate and if you ever dealt with in-laws, or aunts,.. basically been to a family reunion... yeah you wanna keep a low pro... and thats kinda hard if i have to make DVDs of the memorial service for certain people in my family. I was hoping I could take a Nero nrg (in DVD-R) and somehow use a DVD+R disc format.
You will do a lot better asking in the apropriate forum.
But I think you can make an image file of the DVD-R and burn it from your pc to a DVD+R disc without problem providing your dvd burner accepts both formats of disc.
what sudds said, DVD-R and DVD+R are just the mediums used, that's it, nothing about the format put onto the discs, if u can find DVD decryptor u could use that for easy copying 1:1 or 1:iso then iso:1
i'm not sure if dvd decryptor is floating here yet, but it's straight foward direct copying, no need to try and fit the crap onto the disc since it's already on a DVD5
