If your talkin about X-flash, then yes, there is a chance of bricking because x-flash writes files on the psp, not on the mem stick. If you mean by flashing the psp, then use the 1gb stick after its done flashin, i should see why it wouldnt work but I cant really tell on that one because i dont use x-flash (i have a ta-082 :( ).

No, once your out of Xflash with your PSP working fine their is no way Xflash can brick your PSP.(unless of course you flash a bad file or something at a later time)

mate i use x-flash all the time! A word of Warning: never use x-flash or any other customizing application UNLESS you have custom firmware! if you flash a bad file you can unbrick a softbrick with custom firmwares recovery!
for x-flash, well i use it alot to change font. you can use your 32mb to put x-flash on it and all the files. Once you have flashed succesfully, format MS and then put your 1gb back in and use as normal.

x-flash is safe aslong as the file your flashing is safe. if its a dodgey file then you'll get a brick. you can just go with x-flash but custom firmware can help and your more safe. installing it is far safer or as safe as using x-flash so you have nothing to loose.
it is also much more safer then downgrading and it takes less then a second to flash it

It only means you can brick your PSP while installing custom firmware. Thier is almost no chance of bricking your PSP during installation though.

yeah like i said it takes less than a second to flash so...weigh your options. at the end of the sday its up to you. ive flashed woithout C/FW and hey im still here using my psp. Heck ive flashed without AC in its only precuation they have to warn you becuase it MIGHT go wrong.
Thats a BIG might.
