Well heres my story i bought a psp 3 months ago with a 3 year warrenty plan with best buy, a week ago my volume thingy got screwed up and kept going down cause i spilt some thing on it,and i have like 5 dead pixels so i go best buy and there like since u stsill have sony warrenty you gotta give them first,then i thought wat if they upgrade it? cause i have a 1.5,are they allowed to? and also i removed my warrenty sticker for fun lol would they still repair it??

i doubt it when i brught mine baq to ebgames they didnt even look to c if there were dead pixels they just gave me a new one and it was my friends reciept

Well I read it but it was in very bad English. So only after reading the other posts did I figure out what you were trying to say. YOU CAN'T SEND IT TO SONY WITH THE SERIAL NUMBER OFF! THEY'LL SEND IT RIGHT BACK!! I mean what the hell are you thinking! Its like duh. The only thing you can try and do is take it to best buy and get it replaced.

mate if the warenty has gone then sorry mate now way will they take it! even if its a lil damaged they wont take it! as for your psp. its 1.5. if you messed with te gameboots and fonts and stuff that also voids your warenty so no mate. Also u said will they upgrade it? the anwser is: HELL YES! 2.82 (i think thats the newst firmware). so your screwed. throw a tantrum in the shop u bought it (ask for mangager) and hopefully theyll give u another lol!

paul if u were sony u wudnt update thats like the dumbest thing i have ever heard thats like sony giving away games for free and we all no sony wud never do that for example they wanna sell psx games for psx emulator for psp like wtf

man sony if the psp is banged up to the max and u send it to sony theyll give u a second hand one. but not fo ryou mate your warrenty sticker is history unlucks! just complain at best buy trust me!

Yup emachine is right if you don't have your waranty sticker there is nothing you can do. If you sent them the psp with the recit and all the packaging and you tell them what the matter is you might be lucky because what sony should do is they should keep a record of how many psp's were sent to each shop when and how. I also wouldn't be surprised if they they send it back. but if you are really lucky they might check the back of the battery were there is a sieres of numbers. they might use that number to track what country what shop and... they might fix it or send you a new one or send you a second hand one. there is the smallest chance in the world that they will upgrade it for you because you an do that via the internet or you can upgrade your psp by using a UMD that needs version 2.71 or 2.0 or what ever version t needs to operate by. Best of luck. You'r going to need it.
