hey all, aint been here for a long time but i finally got a problem i cant figure out,

i got me a laptop (nec generation) its got an s-video output and i can get the image 2 display on a tv... the only problem is no matter what region i set it to it jus keeps showin up in black and white... i tried updating the drivers.. but there werent any that were newer than the 1s i already had...

any suggestions??

Try a program called TV Tool http://tvtool.info/index_e.htm It helped me out when I was having the same problem with an NVidia card a couple of years ago.
