See I am planning to buy a psp and my seller is giving me a japan 1.0 psp, a US psp and a 1.50 japan psp.
He is giving me the 1.50 psp for a more higher rate. He also says that we can play pirated games in the 1.50 psp.
So is there any way to upgrade the 1.0 japan psp to 1.50 ???
Well I am a total newbie in PSP things.
And also is the japan version better or the US version???
He is telling that the japan psp cannot play UMDs !!! WTF !!!

Actually, they want you to buy expensive thing. All versions of PSP can play UMD games but not Video/Audio due the the region restriction.

yes there is a way to upgrade to 1.50 from a.o u should buy a 1.0 if it is cheaper cuz all u have to do is download the 1.50 eboot and put it in ms0>>PSP>>GAME and then turn on psp and click update to 1.50 and bam 2 minutes later u r 1.50

I made a big mistake.
Well actually he said that the japan version cannot play UMD Videos. Can the Japan version play videos from memory sticks???
And the cheaper version which he is giving is the 2.60 psp in which he says that you cannot play pirated games.
Also is there any way to downgrade the version from 2.60 to 1.50???
Also what is the difference between a "2.60 dowgraded to 1.50 version psp" and an original 1.50 version psp??? Can we play pirated games on the "2.60 dowgraded to 1.50" psp???

yea u can still play videos off mem stick and u can downgrade 2.60 by upgrading to 2.71 and using the EZ downgrader its pretty easy u are better off buying the 2.60 version

and make sure its not a TA-082 mb if so then you wont be able to downgrade
but you will be able to use hen c wich lets you emulate 1.5

there is no diffrence a 1.50 is a 1.5 you can still play hombrew and iso's on it
and a TA-082 motherboard was build by sony to stop people from downgradeing if you even try you will brick your system but i hear if its a 2.5 its possible but its very hard to do

open umd door and look inside if u see a number (ic003) then you have TA-082.
@ lilfree
you can downgrade to 1.5 if you have a TA-082? performed by ookm ? or can u do it by yourself

Well actually as I told before, I did not buy a psp. But I am planning to buy it and I am going to get it next month. :)
Well I have done modding for my xbox. I have got the tutorial on how to downgrade to psp 1.5 too. In that it said that you must 1st upgrade it to firmware 2.71 and then downgrade it.

o so your best shot is buyin one of a normal game store cause walmart and stuff all have TA-082 motherbaords now.
@touran yeah you can do it your self you just need to contact the guy so he can give you all the files you need and shit

im not sure i think he dont want just any one getin it he might be planin on some big TA crack
and if sony gets a hold of his files they will make there TA's even stronger
