Hey Covgal ere
No one has relpied to my thread so i am trying agin.
Does anyone know how to remove the region off a MiCO dvd player called dvd1028. Reply if u know there is no way to do this as it belongs to my little sis who has Mcfly dvds from America from our Uncle and she can't play them. Please help me agin just this last time. You lot helped so much with my last dvd player dilema so i was hoping u could do this last favour for me

i was just passin through different web pages and i saw ur distress call
"MiCO dvd player called dvd1028 region probs"

i got a mico dvd1028

this might help

open dvd disc draw
then type on ur remote the following codes

2812
then u shd c the multi region screen pop up

it shd be set to "2" thats europe.
so tap on the enter button and make sure u see "1" for america & japan
if that does not work then try the rest of the numbers by tap on the enter button, when that is done press close on the dvd tray by using ur remote them it shd be american "1" region..

This hack may work on most Mico DVD players.

Multi-Region:

* Open drive tray,
* Press 2, 8, 1, 2, and then Enter
* You should now have the Secret menu up on the screen
* Continue to press Enter and you can select the region you want from 1 - 9
* Close drive tray door when finished#
