for me, 8s the 2.71.. i have a ta-082 but i can still run 1.5.. well i 8s because 2.71 has more compatibility when it comes to playing gamers rather than 1.5.. dumpers w/c the 1.5 commonly uses would sometimes result into a glitch of a game(the latest ones).. ;)

im 1.50 cuz thats where it all started like every thing for psp is off of 1.50 (1,00) i dont like that there is no browser but that is what dev hook is for :D

well im also staying with 1.5 i love my dual boot customized psp!!! to much but when they make SE betetr and hostfs is built in i might consider it.

1.50 is the best no one can disagree because 2.71 xx-x all have problems that have to be fixed :P

I use both. One PSP there's 1.5 and on the other runs 2.71-SE B but let me tell you guys that its VERY confusing to work with 2.71 SE when you're used to use 1.5 for over a year now. THe different GAME folders for instance...
BTW: Haven't started one single ISO with 2.71 SE so far cause I allways get errors... :(
Uprgraded one PSP only because I wanted to use the Chotto Shot (PSP cam) but unfortunately this didn't worked aswell.
Glady I used my girlfriends PSP for upgrade... :-D

I'm using SE-B rev 3. How do I enable WMA, FLash, and h.264 movie playback? I like using my PSP as a media player as well as the games.
I've yet to find a decent media player app though.

hmm so the 100ANV01 folder is usefull after all i always found it useless so i never even bothered to make it since u have to make the mp_root and the two outher folders if u have a 1.50

No not really, but i,d suggest no lower than 350kbps for video bitrate and no lower than 96kbps for audio.

Ok, I have that folder inside MP_ROOT. Do I need to rename the x264 files? I'm hoping to be able to just play video podcasts downloaded from iTunes and other sources without having to convert it. Converting is just a hassle and an extra step I'd rather not take.
So is there a major visual difference between 368x208 vs 480x272? PSPvideo9 tops out at the former.
Oh, and I got the 2 items enabled (wma and flash). For some reason, I couldn't connect to the internet but I think that was because I had devhook 4x launcher enabled for an iso. Rebooting did the trick.
I guess I'll try your guide. Thanks

You have to be on 2.80+ to be able to watch the podcasts without converting them.
Yeah there is a big difference mate, just mutiply the figures and what you get is the resulting pixel count.
I havent used PSPvideo9 for along time, its outdated you should try XVID4PSP, it not only converts PMP, it also converts for 2.80+
