right ive formattedmy memory stick, ive got a 1.5 firmware on my psp, now can somebody please tell me, what is devhook and where i can get it from, step by step would be ideal please. thanks.

IVE DONE TE SUPER NOOB THINGY AND NOW I THINK I HAVE PROPERLY GOT DEVHOOK ON MY PSP, DO I JUST PUT THE RIPPED PSP GAMES ON THE ROOT OF MY PSP NOW?

Put them in a folder called ISO at the root of your memory stick.
They can either have the extension of ISO or CSO.

what im going to do is upgrade 2.71 and hopefully the ripped game will be playable on it, i take it id have to downgrade back to 1.50 if i want to put other games on my psp, as i had 1.5 to start with

Do you mean upgrade to 2.71 SE-B?
If so you wont have to use DevHook again (only to use the USBHosts) the ISO,s can be played straight from the GAME menu.

2.71 SE-B is custom firmware by Dark-Alex, there is no need to emulate any firmware, you can just run your ISO,s from the GAME menu.
The ISO,s still go in the same ISO folder in MS-ROOT, but they show up in the GAME MENU.
You can still play 99% of 1.50 kernal homebrew as well as 2.71 homebrew.

right so, my psp is now 2.71, i put the ripped iso in the ISO folder in the Psp Root, but when i turn on my psp it keps saying game cannot be played????????

Thats because your not 2.71 SE-B it will say this in your system settings if you are.

1.50 with DevHook or 2.71 SE-B without DevHook either way its your choice.
You have to downgrade to 1.50 anyway if your on Sonys 2.71 firmware.
