Please Help - Nero Error: Illegal Disk and Could not perform end of Disc-at-once

I've read other members' posts, but it seems like my problem is different from others. I tried to look for a newer firmware but it seems like there is no firmware update for my DVD Drive from Samsung or another sites.
I tried to use Ridata DVD+R to burn something, but its always could not perform end of Disc-at-once. This seems to happen after I updated my window and everything.
Afterward, I tried to test the DVD Drive with a blank CD this time, it cant even pass 7%, the error is illegal Disk.
I wasted 7 DVD+R and 3 CD-R, really don't know what to do about it.
Can any of you experts please teach me what to do ><

I burn 6 DVD+R with 4 of them I am burning at speed 4 and I changed to 2.4 cause i think the speed causes the error but it seems like its not about the speed. When I was burning DVD+R before I burn PS2 games with 2.4x and data with 4x there is no problem at all.
and same for the CD-R I can burn at 24x before with no problem at all.
So I think there is some other problems, I updated the Nero yesterday cause this errors keeps happening, but it seems like its not about the software. or maybe it is I am not sure.

Burning at 2.4x on a DVD can kill it; just as burning too fast can.
And, BTW, that version of Nero is slightly buggy, so it's in your best interests to follow my advice.

thanks, I am doing it right now and probably because of the software
but i think this time it is not caused by the speed cause i did try different speed :D and my burner's max speed is 4x so 4x is the fastest I can do.
btw do u know where I can get update for my drive cause I couldn't find it in Samsung's official site.

No updates for your drive, I checked :)
Also, If your drive only supports 4x burning, then your media isn't right for it...that media is 16x, and your burner is 4x. It will only take 8x media at a push. You need to buy some older media; 8x disks and 4x if you can find them.
Or get a new drive...

I asked my friend to use the CDs and DVDs to burn something
my drive can read the disc, but not be able to burn without errors
I think this happens after I updated with window autoupdate.
I think it some how messed up all my settings on the computer cause I have no problem like this at all before I do the updates.

I didn't install the new Nero yet cause its still downloading
but after I run the thing you just gave me
it says APSI is not properly installed
so all the file's version is N/A
maybe this is the problem that causes all the troubles?

Hmm ok. I don't have aspi installed either, but I burn fine...

I tried a few types, all of them are not working
I'm pretty sure it is not about the media because they work perfectly before this problem happens

OK sorry about that, the important DMAs are ON...it shows KEY Medium Error....try different brand, Verbatim or Sony (made in japan)

I'm having the exact same issue. I had some HP (Philip's) media that worked fine until a few weeks ago. Now I can't get any of the 10 disks I have to work. Just seems odd.

Here's an interesting update.
I have 10 DVD-RW disks I normally use for backing up. I use Genie Backup. I've been having issues lately backing up which brought me to this Site. I've having the exact same issues as mentioned above.
Interestingly enough, I just upgraded to Genie Backup v7 and the DVD-RW disks I've been having an issue with for the past 20 days now work in Genie. I still can't erase them in Nero though but at least I can now backup again. Seems weird to me that one program would work with a particular disk and yet another won't - all on the same PC.
Maybe this info will help?
