Hi what it is my mates whats to reformat his hard drive back to factory settings when bought but the disc he has will not work. Ive checked that it is set to boot from cd (all is corrct there. So why will it not work it is windows xp home. With my pc all i need to do is leave disc in drive and reboot pc and then press R when it reboots to get to the recovery window to reformat to factory settings, but his will not do any of this. Any help with this would be great as we have both tried everything.
