NEC 2500a It does booktype until tried new program?

Hi,
I flashed my NEC so I could booktype and bitsett to play on all dvd
players. Today I saw I KNEW dvd identifer. I downloaded it but it erased
my previous disc identifier. And even though it does identify my disk
as Tayo Yuden, Under bookmark it says unavaliable.

What kind of crap is that. They have no email address or phone or they
would get more than a ear ful.

Please can you recommend some disk id programs that will show if this
disc is booktyped. I cant remember the name of my old one.

the disk will be booktyped after you record on it! not before! Booktyping is writing to the disk that fools the players that the disk is a DVD-ROM..... but when you use a program that identifies your media and you haven't written to disk yet ... it will show the Booktyping as being unavailable! Record your disk..... then use DVDIdentifier, or DVDInfo Pro, or NeroInfoTools, or VSO Inspector and many many other programs too!

DVD Indentifier is a fine program that can do nothing at all to your burners setting. It's also nice as the 'More Info' tab will take you to VideoHelp's media database for some user comments. And if using a burned DVD it will properly identify it as DVD-ROM if in fact it is.

LOL!! DVD Identifier has nothing to do with erasing your "booktyped" settings whatsoever. Been using DVD Identifier for ages and it's just a nice little tool to verify your backup disc that's all.
