hi
i tried to play an iso of sonic rivals on my 2.71 psp with devhook
and i tried the 2.xx to 2.00 but that didnt work, a error message comes up saying the game could not be started. i think it might be the fact that there isnt a 2.00 flash in devhook (like 1.50f and 2.71f) but i am just a stupid noob.any help would be great

naw all u need is the flash that the game needs to play wich i would guess is 2.80+ so that must be the reason its givein u that msg
im gonna get that game my self so i hope we can figure how 2 get it to play

ok, i got it to work. when i opened the iso, i deleted the updates and used umdgen to create a new iso and that was the one that wasnt working so i tried the original iso and voila it worked!
one thing i dont understand, when i got the iso it was in parts i.e. rar00,rar01,rar02 etc. i only opened rar00 and it said that the file was 230mbs which is the iso i am using, what about rar01 and rar02 etc.?

contains other pieces of the iso. it's split into sections (15MB) and then when u open any of them usually .rar or .r001 or something it'll just say 230MB inside WinRAR. because it pulls them all out and places them together.

hi,
i also have problems with this game,i deleted the update files using umdgen but it still says i need to update to 2.81 in order to play.can u explain again how u did it? thx

in umd gen
SysDIR>UPDATE (i just deleted the entire folder "UPDATE") and it worked.

ok so i have the whole game when i opened rar00?
oh and the game isnt released until the 1/12/06 in uk so i cant buy it (by the way, i normally buy my games aswell)

so click the 2.00ver in devhook but it just shutdown everytime i click that firmware

also under UMD MOUNT make sure its set to ISO ANYUMD!

im not sure what you mean but what i meant was:
go to devhook screen
you shoud see a option for "other menu"
select umd sfo version
select 2.xx to 2.00
try that

but u still ganna have the problem booting it lol might as well just try 2 figur this out b4 u buy a game that will force u to upgrade if u wanna play it

i downlaoded it now (took me 20mins) an dma lil bro is playing it as we speak. works fine wid devhook. an di also took out the update fodler.
