Hi, Firstly i would like to apologise if this has been asked and replied to already, however i have looked and been unable to find a straight forward reply. The problem that i have is that when i try to use henc on my psp (fw 2.71, not a TA model) after following all the instuctions and guides my psp either freezes or shuts down to black screen (no power) and does not reboot on its own, i have to reset it and try it all again. Been doing this now for the last 24 hrs and have installed from different download sources (henc). On some occassions my psp will display a white screen and the hd light will be flashing frantically for about 5-10 secs then shuts down, no self reboot. Again i do apologise if this seems to be a common problem that has been covered, but i have not found the solution and am becoming a little bit frustrated. Thanks in advance for any help.

what settings do you have i use this
UMD Select: (choose the game you want to play)
UMD Mount: ISO ANYUMD
UMD Version: 2.xx > 2.00
Firmware: 2.71
CPU Clock: 222MHz / 111MHz
Boot Select: Reboot XMB
preload address: 0x88E00000
and use device hook 0.46 the last version of device hook 0.5 its a beta version and its giving a lot of problems to most people

I think a really big question as well is: Do you have a game or demo UMD in your PSP's drive??

Careful with the double posting. Mods will get really p**sed with you for doing that.
Ok. My best bet would be that you back up all your impoartant stuff on your memory stick and then format it. Do the format about two or three times just to be on the safe side, then download the devhook 0.46 ultimate installer from here:
http://www.psp-hacks.com/2006/07/29/devh...mate-installer/
This is your best bet to work as its really simple to install onto your PSP.
Then load iso's into the ISO folder on you MS and start up Devhook. This should really work then!

Hi Again
Heres how i got it sorted (theres probably an easier way but its easy if you are a noob like me)
Just use the Henc-devlauncher for 2.71 like in the guide, then replace hen c with hen d and bobs your uncle!!!!!!

sorry for being late :)
if you would like to check the memory before you install the devhook or any iso file on it
just format the memory stick the one giga after format is (977 - 978) MB
IF YOU SEE THAT SIZE SO IT WILL WORK OK
TESTED ON MANY MEMORYSTICKS

Would this cause a problem, as I have devhook 0.51 and on exiting some games the psp shuts down.
Could it be that i am using the demo umd?
