How does it perform?
Is it as competent in writing +R media as it is in writing -R?

Basically it is exactly the same as a Pioneer DVR105. Flashman DVD Consultant gave it the thumbs up, so i reckon its a good piece of hardware.

Just got one on Friday. The burn speed is a huge difference and is not unstable while burning at all for me. However, when I tried doing a DVD+RW the burn goes fine. But when you try to re-write to that disc Nero 6 and Stomp wont even see the drive while the +RW disc is in the unit. You can see the drive on your computer but not the burn progies. How the hell do I re-write it??? If you cant see the drive after you put data on it, its not really re-writtable. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong.
Thanks

Haha, I guess I figured out the +RW problems. Apparently you cannot erase an RW from the Nero or Stomp progies. You have to do it from the disc properties in windows. A little different then -rw since you can do those from your dvd burn programs. Oh well, I got it all to work now, -R, -RW, +R, +RW. And they all burned great after I figured out the +RW erase method. Picture and sound seem a bit better then my A04, and the speed is just amazing. Great dive, highly recommended!!

Um...there shouldnt really be any difference between the picture and sound you had on your A04. At the end of the day it justs burns what you have created. The A04 did the same only slower and -R/RW only.
