pci controlled ide burner. master, slave or cable select?

How do I set my IDE burner, which is hooked up via PCI card to my SATA only motherboard, while another SATA burner is hooked up directly to the onboard port? The serial drive doesn't seem to have any exterior master/slave/cable settings like the parallel one does, so I don't know how to proceed.

all ide drives have jumper settings for master, slave or cable select. check for 3 pairs of pins usually between the ide connector & the audio connector.
