i think you better take your computer & hd to your local computer store so they can install it for you.

here is the problem i have.
http://www.dansdata.com/images/buildpc/320/hdconnect.JPG
the wire in that picture, whenever i connect it to the hdd and turn on my comp i get this message saying "Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter". I have my winXP cd in the cd drive so i shouldn't have this problem but i get the message regardless. It will load the cd if that plug isn't in my hdd, but then it won't read the hdd. Can u identify my problem?

im gonna install 1 hdd for now and have the other one disconnected. I put that little jumper thing on my hdd to be master w/ slave present. I also have a cd/dvd drive and a floppy drive. On the Bios i made my HDD primary but i didn't know there was a specific cable for the primary and another one for secondary.

you cannot just put new hdd without an os(windows) in it. you have to put the old hdd as master because the os is in there. make the new hdd as slave.

i tend to install it into my ps2. I have Winhiip on my new HDD and will use it once i get my comp to recognize my old HDD as a slave, but i can't do that without the jumper. I checked my bios and it doesn't see my old HDD. Is there a way i can do it without the jumper thing.
