when i am encoding to mpeg from divx or from avi the last 20 mins of a film just gives a blank black screen , the audio is there , the screen turns blank. i have tried to re install TMPGEnc and the codec, im never used to have a problem but i have recently changed my hard drive and am using xp pro, help me as its really anoying ! i cant encode anything to vcd !

There may be some bad frames in the avi! have you tried to remove any??
