Flashing is a replacement firmware, similar to giving an XBOX a new bios. You can't flash your DS without a Passcard3/Superkey.. but once you do flash it if you want to you can throw away or sell your Passcard3/superkey

flashing is pretty much replacing the firmware so you dont need a pass device anymore to start up M3, G6, Supercard etc in DS mode. torrent is a method of filesharing (a file called a torrent is a small file you open to start a download with a torrent client such as utorrent or bitcomet), .iso is a type of image for copying cds and dvds, a rom, kind of hard to explain, refers to copys of a game that are opened through software such as an emulator or with a device such as an m3.

you shouldn't really worry about it since you are getting a passcard which doesn't stick out at all, but to flash it you transfer flashme to your memory card, load it in ds mode like you would a game, push xyxyb, stick any thin conductive piece of metal into the sl1 port (wrap the piece of metal in tape except for the tip if your using a ds light), hold it there until it says %100 on the screen, turn off your ds and your done. while this is pretty unlikely to happen, just know that if your ds runs out of battery or turns off for any other reason durning flashing, you might brick it, so plug it in a power source just in case. again, you shouldn't need to worry about it with a passcard, its just people with passkeys and other things that stick out of the slot that might want to do it

TORRENT: A small file that is compatible with a client that will let you safely and possibly faster than a direct download.
eg.
www.torrentspy.com

ISO: An image of a CD to be burnt to a CD or mount with a program.
eg.
DAEMONTools
PowerISO
Alcohol 120%

ROM: A rom is like an image of a game from a console, is usually an older console, needs to be played with an Emulator.

EMULATOR: A small program used to play a ROM.

Good enough explanation?
