Hi all
I'm using the latest Nero Premium Edition with Nero Burning Room 7.5.7.0 with hardware TEAC DV-W516GA dual layer DVD-RW ROM
Problem I have is with Verbatim DVD-R medias, when ever I insert Verbatim media into drive it is recognised only as CD-ROM
I update hardware firmware, same problem ....I try to find some Nero update but there is nothing
I have no clue what else to do so , please, HELP!

Is this a Verbatim only problem, do other brands work normally?
Does Nero recognize the DVD drive (does it show DVD available), and have you selected DVD for the compilation? Have you selected the DVD drive for recording, and not a CD drive?

I usualy use Verbatim, I had Benq disks before and didn't have this problem
I did update of firmware which I download from TEAc site( I don't know is it the latest so I will do it again with this posted above).
In Nero Start Smart I have option for DVD, CD and DVD/CD regulary
yesterday I burn on Verbatim DVD-RW disk DVD folder without any problem
Problem I have is Verbatim DVD-R disk.... same DVD folder I tried to burn 5 times on this Verbatim DVD-R disks and nothing. When I insert this type of disk in ROM I get auty play option burn CD, even in case that I alrady burn this DVD folder on disk.
I start Nero and choose option create DVD movie disk and Nero regulary do burn process. When I in ROM I got only autoplay burn CD

Try another brand of DVD-R media. Everything you indicate points to the Verbatim being the problem. If the drive won't write on any DVD-R then there is a chance you have a problem with the drive. Have you tried any DVD +Rs?
Also, run Nero Info Tools on it to see if anything strange shows up.
