i got a netgear router and where do i plug it bcoz my modem goes into my phone line how do i plug it in? can someone please help me

look on your computer for your IP adress, or im sure your internet company has it.

what the router is talkin about is your internal ip address. why do u need it? to get it type in ipconfig and hit enter in CMD Prompt. To install the router plug your pc into one of the available ports for PC's (usually numbered). Then plug your modem into the WAN port on the router. Thats about it.

routers usually dont come with install cd's. atleast i havent seen one. usually the cd it comes with is a flash movie that shows you how to hook it up. or you ordered a new internet service from like qwest or verizon and they have included a setup CD to help you along the way.

i have netgear router and it came with a cd.insatlled the ethernet driver or what ever but it did install somn .
