I'm getting really slow uTorrent speeds. I don't have my port forwarded. Yet. I have read multiple guides and the uTorrent recommendations, and by all means know that I should do this. But a few questions first...
We have a router at our flat - and to forward the port it asks you to set up a static IP address. If I do this, will the default 10.1.1.1 address to the router change to the static address I create?
Is it easy to return to previous settings if I stuff something up?
And finally, will it affect my flatmates computers at all once I have done this?
(Sorry, I know these are probably basic questions but I am new to the whole port thing and the PortForward.com guide looks like a big step to embark on, so I thought I'd check first)!
