New PSP FW v2.5 - Homebrew Games

I'm new to all this and have just brought a new PSP, from looking around it seems to be that in order to play homebrew games I have to downgrade my to FW v1.5 or below. Is this the case? Or is there software outthere that works with my firmware version? If so could somebody please help.

downlaod hte games and put the >ISO and >CSO into the ISO fodler found at the root of your MS (providing devhook is already installed)

Get games from torrents

You dont have to downgrade.Instead you can upgrade to firmware 2.71 and run DevHook using HENC, heres a guide:

thats what it was mainly made for since people cant downgrade they emulate the 1.50
