i was wondering if there is any way to play the video files that i download with a psp, like suppose i go to my psp browser and to some website which has some movie trailers and i download it in the memory stick, and then can i play it directly into my psp without transferring it into my pc and then converting the format. the video that i downloaded was in .mpg format and i think that the psp can play only .mp4 format, so is there any way to play this .mpg file directly from the memory stick,

i have the latest update 3.01

No theres not mate, but with 3.01 you nolonger have to encode your PSP movies with specfic headers and file names, Ipod movies work on the PSP, so long as you put the movies into the VIDEO folder which is found or created inside the PSP folder.

No its still restricted to MP4 but without all the file naming crap etc.
It can play MJPEG at 480x272 but, file sizes are massive.
