The wish list looks good. As for the PSU I'd stick with the Corsair HX 520W, it's one of the best from that list. I'm also partial to Corsair RAM, but there are plenty of other good brands to choose from. RAM isn't quite so much of a minefield as Power supplies, you generally know if you're getting something inferior!

Figured out my problem with Unreal 3 Demo...its a conflict with zonealarm...When I try and start game...it sends zonealarm into update mode...crashing my computer...
This sucks...I guess I will not be buying the game...I'm not getting burned on another one...

Why does ZoneAlarm being in update mode crash your PC? That seems rather odd.

I have No Idea...All I know is every time I launch the game...it simultaneousness sends zone alarm into update...and the system restarts...
I guess I am going to have to unplug net connection...shut off ZA...and see if game launches successfully...Only thing I can think of...

I have un-installed drivers...and reinstalled the latest nvidea drivers...I thought that was problem...but it did not help...I even did the same with the Demo...

Interesting. I know there were big problems with Gears of War crashing, but I've not heard about much going wrong with UT3.

This is weird...did everything I said above...UT3 Demo launch sent AdAware into update mode...sent system into restart...Got an error log from Lavasoft (adaware)...upon restart...

So I shut down adaware & spybot search & destroy as well...Launched game...computer did not go into restart...

however...I lost monitor...turned it off...not into the normal stand-bye mode...had to crash system to get monitor back up...WTF?

Here is partial adawarelog...

You bought it because it had 'dragon' in the name...
I often wonder what goes through people's minds when buying components.

A friend of mine...Gene Fields was taught personally by Bruce Lee...He has a local Karate Studio...He heads Team Voodoo...which competes in MMA...K-1 & the UFC...The Modesto area has quite a few fighters in MMA...

Any idea on the exact teaching date? Should have been between 1959 and 1963

It was most likely during the few months after Bruce set up his school(was your friend in California?) to earn extra money.

And yeah, Bruce was the first MMA fighter which makes him about 40 years ahead of his time. Bruce really did strip fighting to its essentials.

Gene has tons of pictures of him and Bruce in his studio...Gene looked in his teens...I never asked him what years the photos are from...One thing I know is...you do not want to mess with Gene...I got to meet Randy Couture...and Nick and Nate Diaz last summer...they were filming a movie with Rob Schneider...they came to a Concert I was producing in Stockton CA...It was a big thrill...Love MMA...I can't wait till the UFC comes back to Sacramento...and Yes...I am in California...Gene held a lot of World Records for things like Breaking Bricks...They were set in Modesto CA...at the Civic Center in the 80's...

Any chance of a scan in of these photos? :)

If you see Gene, can you ask him if Bruce really did not like getting hit in the face while sparring?

I've also installed Computer Magic which seem to function well with this router

I've done a couple of Antec Sonata builds which come with a 500 Watt Earthwatts power supply.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371007 $78.99 + Free Shipping.
It is a very quiet power supply, they run cool in the Sonata case.
Specs for both PCs are:
EVGA 650i mobo
2 Gb Corsair C5D or Patriot memory
E6750 Cpu
320GB WD HDD
Radeon 1950 Pro video card
Sata DVD ROM
Sata Burner
Sound card
Floppy

It's a plain vanilla PSU manufactured by Seasonic. I'd buy one if I were on a budget. 500 Watts is enough for a single mid-range video card and typical CPU/mobo/optical drive set up.

These PSUs are quiet for lower wattage builds
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...Tpk=CMPSU-550VX
very well built and also less expensive than their modular HX counterparts.

Rick: Rosewill power supplies are absolute trash. I've seen/heard of more fires, explosions and sparks with them than any other brand.
