Russ:
When little: no mention of cooties
Start of Year 3: Make first real female friend, still friends with her today - note: "Friend" only!
Start of Year 4: Understand the other reasons you'd want to be friends with a girl, politely ignore them#
Now: Still politely ignore them
He_Man: @picture: Um..... OK. I'm not going to comment on that!
Greensman: We do indeed, especially since we're never offered MIRs...
As for the cooler, I think the Ultra90 is still better than ther Freezer 7, but it all depends on the cost difference. Not sure I'd pay double for it.
Russ: Lol @ your power supply fan speed. Please tell me that's your chipset cooler or something!
As for the off-topic discussion that was going on recently, I'll make one passing statement - people are often attracted to other countries purely because they're different. A visit to the US for example is interesting compared to being here, but I wouldn't want to live there. I'll be honest with you, I have very little knowledge of how the political system works over there. All I'll say is that despite the amount of stick it gets, I'd much sooner we have the NHS than not have it - I just wish it wouldn't waste it's money on binge drinkers and chain smokers.

No no no, don't even joke about that.
Anyway does a Physics accelerator improve your framerate?

No, it worsens it, by adding additional physics features - that's extra stuff for your graphics card to render. of course this is irrelevant, since PhysX only actually works in about 3 games.

You know what guys?
I am more excited about actually ordering and receiving my parts than i was at Christmas time. It's pretty weird.
I think my next purchase will be the q6600(retail) and 3870(sapphire) for just over £300 from ebuyer.

That's understandable. I was more excited when I first took delivery of my PC than christmas last year.

These OCZ look good. 4-4-4-15 but they can be oced to 1066 easily.

They can do 1066 with the Corsair Dominator airflow fan.

And what voltage? RAM should never overheat unless your case cooling is a complete joke, or you've overvolted it. If the former, sort it out! If the latter, use a decent cooler like an HR-07.

Well, have you tried this yourself?
What I'm saying is, left at stock voltage, RAM should never overheat no matter how far you overclock it, unless your case cooling is messed up.

Yeh I know you like the Armor but for $115 after MIR how could you not get the Evo 830 if you wanted a FULL tower?
Quote: Also this this link out.

Linky no worky!!
Quote: EDIT: Also 8400GS?! Come on you honestly put that in there?
*sigh*
I won't make excuses for choosing that card because for $25 it's just fine. I'll get a HD3850 or HD3870 later this year or after Christmas in "08.....lol. I just DON'T need a "gaming" card right now and may never need one but with everything else in the case it seems just wrong not to have something "better". ;p

Of the two, the Stacker cools far better (assuming you use decent fans), and is a far better silent computing platform, but I prefer the look of the Armor (just). Of course, if I had a huge amount of money to spend on a full tower case, I'd wait until the NZXT CS831 comes out for retail.
That forum post is exactly why I'm not a member of the THG forums. Look at how many cretins came in trying to be funny.

He_Man if those are easily OC'able to 1066 they would be a grab indeed. ;) I almost got some OCZ but decided at the last moment to get the Crucial Balistix Tracers DDR2 1066 (2 x 1GB). I haven't pushed them yet but I plan to in a few days. I just got this thing (my new rig) running and I'm having issues with the nVidia drivers!! Silly bunch of shite really....lol.
The temps seem ok so a little burn in time and we're off. ;)
...gm
edit: to add screeny of temps and such. ;)

Is the cpu core voltage right?? Man that seems low if you ask me. :) Any ideas at this point are welcomed. :D tia....
edit 2:
Another screen shot after 4+ hours of 'idle' running....
