Yeah but they have cheaper configurations with better cards like the 8800GT.

I remember seeing that in my PC Gamer magazine a few months ago - and I agree with you abuzar, who the hell would pay that much money?? I mean, it does have the potential to break the 3dmark06 world record - only if you add some LN2 and a few sponsors.

EDIT: and btw, that watercooling in it looks kinda cheap. Those hoses are super small - and I haven't ever seen that type of CPU block before either.

Small tubing for watercooling just depends on the region typically. UK plumbing uses small tubes (which is much better if your PC contains any fan cooled components, and allows for good pressure off a lightweight pump). The block looks like it's from Asetek, who know how to make WC parts, and make them well.
On the whole there's nothing to mark the system down. The watercooling setup looks far better than any kit you can buy, the chipset whilst largely passive has its own fan (which will probably be loud but get the job done), the case is large and spacious, the power supply is good (but ludicrous) and it generally seems well built and designed, especially if Voodoo were involved. You can't criticise it's build at all really, only the absurd price tag it will undoubtedly carry.

I removed it temporarily. It was a bit cluttery if I posted dozens of times on the same page, is there an option not to use it for subsequent posts in a thread, so I can use it say, once per page?

I've been doing some research, however mislead it may be. lol. Anyway looking at some of the OLDER ATi video cards I stumbled across these little jewels. Take into account that I haven't owned an ATi card since the AGP 9250 was introduced. LONG time isn't it?? lol. Here's a very short list that follows and I welcome ALL advice/help if you will in my decision. I looked at the HD3850's and I'd love to get one right now but with "restricted" finances and NO real need for something that GOOD atm I can settle for one of these or something similar. ;)

I think that's a great idea and good policy for everyone to follow. It honestly does NO good and it normally causes more grief than happiness. If we have facts and TRUSTED info then present it and go on. If someone wants a battle then just let it go....more respect and friendship will follow that formula than almost any other in situations like these. ;) I wish good luck to you sam in life and growth during that life. I hope you understand that. :D ...c

Let's hope NOT for good. I think they were GREAT assets to the PC building thread and the AD community. ;)

Thanks Lp. ;) link to 2600XT So you like this one? I would take any suggestions on a similar card but please try to keep it at the $80 or less after MIR. I would like to stay with ATi because my mobo supports CROSS-FIRE and that may happen someday even tho I don't need it. :)

The 2600XT's a good card. it's not stormingly fast, but if you're not a hardcore gamer, it's a pretty respectable performer, and is supposed to be very good at HDMI etc.

Rejoice!!!!!!

I got all my parts!!!!!!!!

I had to go with a WD 320GB drive(gets 5.9 on Vista) and OCZ 800Mhz ram but it's all good in the hood.

Final price was about £689

It's safe to say that you could bargain hunt more and config a similar system for under £650.

You could probably swing a 8600GT for the same price. They tend to be faster.

I tried to make sure all of these items are compatible with each other, but I'm not 100% sure, I was wondering if you can see any reason why I should not be able to assemble these items without any hardware issues or otherwise?

The power supply with the case will be awful, you'll want to get a proper one like this
http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Qui...gationKey=11259
The rest is good apart from the CPU and graphics card.
I'd recommend

VERY NICE. its the first person i have seen with a peryin chip. VERY GOOD. just make sure the mother board supports 45nm chips, give that exact make of the board, and as sam says, the psu will suck. id say go for a Hx50 Corsair PSU, and the GPU and CPU are fine.

Sam, the peryin cpu will do much better than the one you get.

I've taken your advice and changed the case and gotten a Dabs Value 650W PSU Black 12cm SATA. Should do the trick. I've also changed the GPU to the one suggested by sam, seems a lot cheaper and almost as fast.
