Burning avi file to DVD using AVI2DVD & HCEnc

Am having problems encoding an AVI movie file using AVI2DVD & HCEnc for use is a DVD player. When the process is complete and I play the DVD the movie stops/finishes about 3-5 minutes from the normal end of the movie, ie. doesn't show "The End" or the credits. Have repeated the encoding/burn process a number of times and the movie always crashes out at the same place. The AVI file is OK, ie if played on Windows Media Player it goes through to the normal end. I have increased the amount of free disk space on the drive where the encoded files reside to no effect.

The real pain is that the first AVI movie that I converted works perfectly from start to finish.

Any clues please ?? Gotta be finger problems !!
